Copia delle "Rime" nelle rarissime edizioni della tipografia di Kehl, proveniente dalla libreria di Tommaso Puccini che, nel verso della seconda carta di guardia, annota: "Essendo rarissimi gli esemplari delle rime stampate a Kehl mi è convenuto contentarmi di questo trovato tra i libri dell'autore, e da lui sconciamente mutilato". L'intera tiratura - in poco più di 500 copie - fu inviata all'Alfieri in Parigi ma l'opera non fu mai posta in circolazione. Costretto dagli avvenimenti di quei tempi a una precipitosa fuga in Italia, il poeta e commediografo sembra portasse con sé due soli esemplari dell'opera, lasciando così che quasi tutte le copie dell'edizione finissero alla fine confiscate dal governo (cfr. G. Bianciardi, Le "Rime" bruciate di Alfieri, in "Wuz", a.1 (2002), n. 5, p.50).
Alcuni dei sonetti asportati per taglio dall'esemplare sono stati apposti, a penna, su carte aggiunte all'atto di rilegatura.
Copy of the "Rime" in the very rare editions of the tipography of Kehl, coming from Tommaso Puccini's library that, in the verse of the second guard card, notes down: "Being very rare the examples of the rhymes printed in Kehl it has suited me to be satisfied with this finding among the author's books, and by him insanely mutilated". The entire edition - in just over 500 copies - was sent to Alfieri in Paris but the work was never put in circulation. Forced by the events of that times to an hasty escape to Italy, the poet and playwright seems to bring with him only two exemplars of the work, leaving so that almost all the copies of the edition eventually ended up confiscated by the government (cfr. G. Bianciardi, Le "Rime" bruciate di Alfieri, in "Wuz", a.1 (2002), n. 5, p.50).
Some of the sonets removed by cutting the example have been affixed, by pen, on papers added to the act of binding.
